Welcome to Conway Cottages and Almost Heaven Jasper Retreat—your home away from home in Conway and Jasper, Arkansas. We are a family-run short-term rental company dedicated to offering guests a comfortable, stylish, and memorable stay.

Conway Cottages was founded in 2016 by Laura and Scott Roussel, who transformed a simple dream into a thriving family business. Originally from Searcy, Laura and Scott spent many weekends traveling to Conway to visit their children, Blake and Amanda, along with their growing family of grandchildren. Wanting a place of their own in downtown Conway, Laura envisioned purchasing and renovating a historic home—well before short-term rentals became as popular as they are today.

That vision came to life with the Ash Street Cottage, a 16-month renovation that blended Southern charm with modern design. The cottage quickly became a guest favorite and helped usher in Conway’s short-term rental era in the historic district.

By 2018, the success of Ash Street inspired the addition of the Faulkner Street Cottage, which opened in 2019 after a full renovation. Just like its sister property, Faulkner Street quickly gained popularity, solidifying Conway Cottages as more than a side project—it became a family passion and legacy.

In 2021, we expanded north into the Ozark Mountains, settling in Jasper, AR—a charming town in Newton County rich with natural beauty and adventure. After purchasing a home on 20 acres, we rolled up our sleeves once again, transforming a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 2,000-square-foot home with a basement into a 6-bedroom, 3-bath luxury country retreat.

From design to upkeep, every detail of Conway Cottages and Almost Heaven Jasper Retreat is managed by our family, ensuring that guests experience the warmth, care, and quality we put into each property.
